Project Lead, OAU Who Gets to Be a Millionaire 2.0

A university-wide game show inspired by Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, run under the Principal overseeing the initiative. I designed the five stages, from screening applicants to the live final on stage at Oduduwa Hall.

Results

  • Built the screening process that took 495 applicants down to 30 finalists
  • Ran orientation sessions for more than 105 qualified participants
  • Wrote the proposals that brought in Oraimo and Quickteller (Interswitch) as headline sponsors
  • Grew the show’s Instagram from zero to 22,700+ views in 90 days, 83% of them from people who didn’t follow the page

Project Director, Next Con 1.0

A conference for student entrepreneurs and builders. I owned the whole operation: registration, check-in, guest speakers’ travel and the catering budget.

Results

  • Sales had stalled at 10 tickets in two weeks. I rewrote the marketing, and sales jumped 70% in a single day, on the way to a full room
  • Compared catering quotes and cut the cost from ₦5,000–₦6,000 to ₦1,500 per head without dropping quality, saving over ₦3,000 per guest
  • Arranged travel and hosting for four guest speakers from other cities, and all four arrived on time
“Sam! Our project director. This man took the whole thing on his head like it was his. His level of foresight and resourcefulness is unmatched. Thank you for seeing that everything came out perfect.”

Results

  • Built a five-partner sponsorship plan, bringing in partners including Zedcrest Wealth, DBrown Consulting and EduBridge
  • Set up registration for an auditorium of more than 2,000 people
  • Tracked spending line by line within a combined ₦15.8M budget
